Search engines on the Internet need immediate correction.
The following are the reasons.
Consider mining of any useful information from search engines whether google, msn, yahoo or teoma.
Immediately you will confront with results largely from forums. Visit these forums and analyze the knowledge in them. You will largely fine misleading and junk information.
Because of these misleading un-authentic forums, it has become a daunting task to get relevant and authentic information on the Internet. Internet blogs are going to create the same havoc in near future.
These days Tom, Dick and Harry are hosting sites in the form of forums. The forum itself is a website. The aim of majority of these webmasters is to signup for publishing advertisements from google or others indulge in organized click spamming on these advertisements to make fraud money. Losers are advertisers and the genuine information mongers who confront with annoying search results.
Solution:
Solution is easy.
Search engines should not index the forum results with general results. They should not consider display the forum UTLs unless the search keyword is 'forum' or 'blog' or these should be considered different as news, images and others are considered.
Forum dependent websites should be given lesser preference in search results.
If search engines do not consider the above suggestion, genuine webmasters will fade away from the Internet presence and the Internet will fail in its very theme ie as science and research information exchange platform.
